"I am the door:
by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved..."

At night, when a shepherd has all his sheep in the fold, he lays his crook (which is used to fight off animals) across the top of the passageway, (sheepfolds have no doors) and the shepherd then lays down in the doorway to sleep - the shepherd is the door for his sheep. He loves his sheep as his own children. He knows each one by name, and they come when he calls.

Jesus Christ is the only entryway to God. He is the door to a more abundent life and eternal salvation.
